  1. I think the clinic should really study the aspects of power and where it is generated. I was fascinated by the “what makes a difference in time trial” facts. Things like, a $10K bike makes up .1 seconds, etc. You had that book. I really do think if we could measure our power to the cranks and then modify our stroke to maximize that, boy would that be fun. maybe some nutrition before and during a race would be good discussion.

    • We can do that! Great ideas. Even though using power data is often associated with “performance”, you have exactly hit the nail on the head as to why it is useful for everyone in being most efficient. Sometimes optimizing efficiency is the difference between getting home in a stiff headwind or having to call for a ride!
      You definitely feel best about your result on race day, when you know you’re coming from a place of maximum potential. Same with nutrition. I’ll get right on those topics!
